torre annunziata
torre annunziata ist eine gemeinde in der metropolitanstadt neapel. zu finden ist sie zwischen neapel und pompei. bei der eruption des vesuvs 1631 wurde ein großer teil der stadt zerstört. ehemals war hier der sitz von eisenwerken und der pasta industrie angesiedelt. ein überbleibsel aus dieser zeit sind die grossen hallen, in denen die produkte hergestellt, weiterverarbeitet und gelagert wurden. heute von der natur zurückerobert bieten sie einen wilden anblick am fusse des berühmt berüchtigten vesuvs und wirken beinahe wie ein modernes pompei.
torre annunziata is a community of the metropolitan city of napels. it’s located between napels and pompei and has been destroyed partly at the eruption of the vesuvius in the year 1631. once the city was the seat of ironwork and pasta industries. the big halls are a relict from that times. here the products were made, processed and stored. nowadays the nature has reconquered the space and the complex offers a wild view at the bottom of the notorious vulcano vesuvius. the area allmost seems like a modern pompei.
