das kleine dorf ist die heimat der langustenfischer von menorca und hat seinen ursprünglichen charme beibehalten. in einem naturhafen gelegen sind die ruinen ehemaliger lagerhallen und quartiere von soldaten aus dem 17.jahrhundert zu finden, die sich neben dem castell sant antonio befanden. die burgen aus dieser epoche wurden von mauern umgeben, um schutz vor den piraten zu gewährleisten. im fall von sant antonio war diese schutzmauer 12 m hoch und 30 m lang, wobei heute nur noch ein kleiner teil erhalten geblieben ist.
the small village is the home of the lobster fishermen of menorca and still has it’s original flair. It’s located in a natural harbor in the north of the island and contains the ruins of storehouses and rooms for soldiers from the 17th century, which were positioned next to the castell sant antonio. the castels from this period were surrounded by huge walls to protect the inhabitants from the pirates. furthermore the wall of sant antonio has been 12 m high and 30 m wide. now there is only a small part of it left.
