elephant sanctuary – kuala gandah
das im jahr 1989 gegründete conservatuion centre kuala ganadah, rettet elefanten aus dem jungel die ohne fremde hilfe nicht überleben würden und bildet diese aus. seit dem jahr 1997 ist es aussenstehenden gestattet die elefanten zu besuchen, zu streicheln, zu füttern und zu baden. direkt in der umgebung sind kleine dörfer der urvölker malaysiens zu finden. die regierung hat ihnen kleine häuser und kleidung zur verfügung gestellt.
the conservatuion centre kuala ganadah was founded in the year 1989 and rescues elephants that couldn’t stay alive in the wild. since 1997 it’s possible to visit the animals, to pet, feed and bathe them. Near by you can find little villages of the aboriginal people of malaysia. the goverment gave them clothes and little houses.
batu cave
die batu caves sind 15 km nördlich von kuala lumpur zu finden. der hindu-tempel wurde in die höhlen integriert und wird über eine lange und steile treppe erschlossen. viele affen leben in den umgebenden grünanlagen und stehlen hier und da mal eine wasserflasche oder kamera von den besuchern in der hoffnung auf wasser und futter.
the batu caves are located 15 km on the north of kuala lumpur. the hindu-temple was integrated into the caves and can be entered by a long and steep stairway. many monkeys live in the green area that sourrounds the cave. sometimes they try to steel bottles or cameras from the visitors because they are looking for something to drink or eat.
